WAND - Pain Free Injection
We realize that a high percentage of our patients dread getting a shot at the dentist because of the needle. But, the needle is not the culprit of the pain; it actually comes from the pressure and volume of fluids going into the tissues. That is why we use a high-tech device known as the “WAND” to administer pain-free local anesthetic.
This new technology utilizes a computer-controlled system that delivers a slow, even flow of anesthetic. It allows us to give an extremely comfortable and virtually pain-free injection, which is only one of its advantages. It also allows us to perform new and improved injections that are precise enough to numb just the targeted area. Good news for patients, because they can leave the office without a crooked smile, drooling or slurred speech.
Recent studies showed that using the WAND reduced the patient's fear and anxiety level by up to 82% after just one treatment using this technology. The Wand is an excellent example of our efforts to provide our patients with latest technology, so that they will have a pleasant and positive experience.
